The Hyde Away Inn and Restaurant is a farmstead, circa 1824, located in the Mad River Valley in the heart of Vermont's Green Mountains. Opened as the Ulla Lodge on New Year's Day, 1949, the Inn has been a part of ski history since the early days of Mad River Glen. The Hyde Away is a favorite of locals and vacationers alike and has a loyal following.
The Task
The inn owners needed a website that would comminicate the personality, casual atmosphere, and fun of The Hyde Away. Local customers stay current, but many customers that have ski houses in the area are from Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and elsewhere throughout the Northeast. The website is a great way to communicate with them.
Our Solution
We built and maintain a website that addresses all aspects of the business — lodging, restaurant, tavern, group events, and more. It includes a link to availability.com, an online room reservation service. Tie-in to the service included skinning the availability application. We also provide desktop wallpaper images for download as an additional promotinal feature. We provide most of the photography for the site and it validates to W3C standards.
